About IDS

The Institute of Development Studies (IDS) is a leading global charity for international development research, teaching and communications. IDS has a vision for a world in which poverty does not exist, social justice prevails and economic growth is focused on improving human wellbeing. IDS believes that research knowledge can drive the change that must happen in order for this vision to be realised.

IDS contribution to LANSA

For LANSA, IDS is co-leading research on value-chains. IDS also brings a focus on politics, power and governance. The Institute is helping to analyse and understand the negotiations and power balances that inhibit or support nutrition sensitive agriculture.

With a strong track record in research communications IDS is leading research uptake for the first two years of LANSA. At the end of this period the role of research uptake lead moves to MSSRF.
