Enhancing the research uptake capacity among consortium members is an uptake objective as laid out in the LANSA research uptake strategy in the inception report. At MSSRF, the research uptake team has conducted several tailor-made capacity strengthening workshops for LANSAstaff since 2014. Questions were posed to gauge their knowledge and confidence levels, and also the usefulness of receiving training on data visualisation and videography.

In February 2015, LANSA held a three-day online regional dialogue called Markets for Nutrition. The discussion focused on the potential of market-based approaches to increase the consumption of nutritious foods by low-income, undernourished populations. The dialogue provided an opportunity to learn from our stakeholders, share LANSA’s research and make connections with relevant actors.
