Nutrition awareness programme is being conducted as a complementary activity to the nutrition sensitive agriculture interventions conducted as a part of Farming System for Nutrition (FSN) study under the research programme on Leveraging Agriculture for Nutrition in South Asia (LANSA) in Wardha, Maharashtra and Koraput, Odisha. For sustainability of the nutrition awareness programme, “Community Hunger Fighters (CHF)” approach was undertaken in mid 2016 under the guidance of Dr. Rama Narayanan. In this approach, few men and women were selected and trained in nutrition literacy through two residential training workshops. Endline evaluation of the programmes was conducted which revealed the need for a refresher course.
