The meeting was chaired by Professor M S Swaminathan. Representatives from key research institutes and Initiatives in Odisha participated and gave their inputs and suggestions. The meeting began with Dr. Ajay Parida, welcoming the gathering. He briefly outlined MSSRF’s work in Odisha since the mid nineties in the areas of coastal systems research and mangrove forest restoration in the Bhitarkanika region and biodiversity conservation in Koraput.
