Farming System for Nutrition involves the introduction of agricultural remedies for addressing undernutrition in a population dependent on agriculture, by mainstreaming the nutrition dimension in crop, animal husbandry and fishery, supported by nutrition awareness initiatives.

Value Chains for Nutrition

LANSA examined the effectiveness of interventions along agri-food value chains beyond the farm gate for consumption of nutrtious food by vulnerable populations on a sustained basis.

Towards Nutrition Sensitive Ag-policies

Agriculture policies primarily address production, productivity and farmers’ welfare. However, policy and investment choices on crops / livestock, also region, institutions and infrastructure have consequences for incomes and nutrition of poor populations. LANSA research examined some aspects through empirical research and policy analysis.
